BPH Migas: Kepodang-Tambak Lorok pipeline to be completed on schedule
Thursday, October 24 2013 - 01:52 AM WIB
Downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas said that the construction of the 200 km Kepodang-Tambak Lorok gas pipeline in Central Java will be completed on schedule, dismissing an earlier concern of possible delay raised by state-owned utility PLN.
?There?s no hurdle, all are progressing,? BPH Migas Gas Director Umi Asngadah told Petromindo on Thursday, saying that pipeline is expected to be completed in October of 2014 (not October 2013 as reported earlier by this portal).
The gas pipeline, to be developed by PT Bakrie & Brothers, will be used to transport gas from the Kepodang field operated by Petronas Carigali to PLN?s Tambak Lorok gas-fired power plant.
PLN Head of Gas and Fuel Division Suryadi Mardjoeki on Wednesday urged BPH Migas to push Bakrie & Brothers to complete the pipeline construction on schedule to ensure gas supply for the PLN power plant.
