Downstream Authority BPH Migas Chairman Andi N.Someng said that he had sent a letter to energy and mineral resources minister and oil and gas director general, reminding the two officials on the dateline for the state gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) to implement open access to all of its own gas pipelines.
?We?ve sent a letter to oil and gas director general and minister of energy and mineral resources, reminding them to ask PGN to comply with the schedule of open access to all of its gas pipelines since October this year,? he told the press in Jakarta on Friday.
He pointed out that according to the agreed schedule, the dateline for PGN to open its pipelines for transportation of gas owned by other companies is October 2013. "Bph Migas sees the main problem lies on the stage of legal unbundling. PGN has previously asked for rescheduling. And it happened several times. When Evita was still director general of oil and gas PGN asked for reschedule of dateline to October 2013. Now we remind the government on the agreed dateline,? he said.
Andi said that PGN should comply this time with the agreed dateline. It is now time for PGN to open all of its own gas pipelines for other companies to use for transporting their gas under new terms.
