Downstream oil and gas regulatory body BPH Migas requires every business entity that sells subsidized fuel to open at least 20 gas stations outside Java island, BPMIGAS committee member Eri Purnomohadi was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying.

Eri also said that BPH Migas would hold tender between July-September this year for the appointment of companies to carry out public service obligation to sell subsidized fuel. Eri said several players including Shell, Petronas, Gulf and Chevron had expressed intention to compete with state oil and gas company Pertamina to sell subsidized fuel. (*)
