The downstream oil and gas authority BPH Migas will open up new investment opportunities in Sulawesi for the development of gas transmission and distribution networks in the region.

BPH Migas Committee Member, Hari Pratoyo told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the oil and gas downstream authority will include the Sulawesi region in its upcoming 2018 National Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission Network Master Plan (or RIJTDGBN).

?We?ll propose to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to include North Sulawesi and Sulawesi in general in the 2018 RITJTDGN,? he said at a coordination meeting of Sulawesi gas infrastructure development potential in Manado, provincial capital of North Sulawesi.

?We?re inviting investors to participate in the development of gas pipelines in Sulawesi,? he said, adding that Sulawesi has huge gas potential.

He said that investors can also develop mini LNG plants.
