BPH Migas to auction six gas distribution network areas

Downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas plans to auction six gas distribution network areas (also known as WJDs) in April-May of this year, Kontan reported on Monday.

 

The paper quoted BPH Migas committee member, Jugi Prajogio as saying that the authority has received 20 WJDs proposed by the downstream industry players, but not all will be included in the upcoming auction. He said that only six WJDs which are probably ready for auction as the gas sources and customers are already available.

 

Winning bidders of the WJDs will hold exclusive rights to market gas in their respective designated WJD for 30 years.

 

The paper said that the six WJDs are as follows.

 

WJD in Losarang District, Indramayu Regency (West Java Province) proposed by PT Pelangi Cakrawala Losarang with potential gas supply from PT Pertamina EP?s Cemara gas field and potential consumers PT Chang Jul Fanf Indonesia and PT Tirta Bening Mulia.

 

Second is WJD in Simalungun Regency (North Sumatra) or KEK Sei Mangkei proposed by PT Pertagas Niaga with gas source potential from NSO and NSB gas fields/Arun Regasification, and potential customers KEK Sei Mangkei industrial economic zone and PT Unilever Oleopetrochemical Indonesia.

 

Third is WJD Subang Regency (West Java) proposed by PT Subang Infra Gas with potential gas supply from PT Pertamina EP and potential customers Patimban Sea Port, Patimban Industrial Estate, Patimban Kota Batu city, and gas-fired power plant.

 

Fourth is WJD in Karawang Regency (West Java) proposed by PT Post Energy with potential gas supply from PT Pertamina EP and PT PGN Tbk, and potential customers PT Artha Metal Sinergi, PT Dongjin, PT LS Kabel, PT Polychem, PT Softex, and PT Inoac.

 

Firth is WJD at Surya Cipta Industrial Estate in Ciampel, Karawang (West Java) proposed by PT Surya Energi Parahita.

 

And sixth is WJD in North Sulawesi proposed by PT Sulut Infra Gas.

 

Jugi said that there are still opportunities for industry players to submit new WJDs, where feasibility study and front end engineering design (FEED) have been completed, to BPH Migas to be included in the tender. (*)
