BPH MIGAS to name subsidized fuel distributors Monday

Downstream regulatory body BPH MIGAS said on Wednesday it would announce companies that would be eligible to distribute subsididized fuel in 2011 along with state oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero).

Chairman Tubagus Haryono said the candidates are Petronas, AKR Corporindo, Total, Elnusa and Shell.

Tubagus said that provisionary winners will be named and would be judged on fuel distribution infrastructures that the companies would developed until December 2010.

?If the companies are ready with their infrastructures such as gas stations and fuel distribution agents, then BPH Migas will issue permanent appointment for them to distribute subsidized fuel in 2011,? he said.

The companies would distribute subsidized fuel in North Sumatra, Lampung, South Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and South Sulawesi.(bernard)
