BPH Migas to open tender for Java gas pipeline projects next week

Regulator body for oil and gas downstream operations BPH Migas confirmed Thursday it had scheduled to open a tender for the construction of two pipeline projects on Java Island next week.
?The tender document (for the pipeline projects) will be available from July 7 to 15, while submission of proposal will be closed in the next three months,? chairman of BPH Migas Tubagus Haryono told Petromindo.Com.
Tubagus said construction of the pipelines is expected to commence early next year.
The gas pipeline projetcs are divided into two phases: (1) Cirebon-Semarang line along 290 km and (2) Semarang-Gresik line along 390 km that needs an estimated investment of around Rp 4 trillion to Rp 6 trillion.
The projects are to develop gas pipeline with transportation capacity of 350-500 million standard cubic feet per day which is targeted to supply gas for industries and households in Java. (dino)
