Downstream authority BPH Migas will re-tender right to build Semarang-Cirebon gas transmission pipeline after the winner for the segment has formally stated inability to continue the project.
Chairman Andy Noorsaman Sommeng told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that state owned firm Minister Dahlan Iskan has notified BPH Migas that state engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri (Persero) (Rekind) was unable to continue the project due to inability to get gas supply for the pipeline project.
Andy did not say when the tender will be opened.
Rekind was given right to develop the 225-km pipeline that connects Semarang in Central Java to Cirebon in West Java in 2006.
The Semarang-Cirebon is part of the integrated 682.1 km trans-Java pipeline network.
