Downstream regulator BPHMigas said that PT Surya Parna has agreed to fulfill its 2012 contractual commitment to distribute 34,128 kilo liters of subsidized fuel products.
BPHMigas Chairman Andi Noorsaman Someng said that his office has reached agreement with Surya Parna over the fuel distribution issue. ?They have agreed to meet the commitment (to distribute subsidized fuel products) under the PSO (public service obligation) program,? he told Petromindo.com Wednesday. He did not provide details.
BPHMigas has recently reprimanded Surya Parna for failing to fulfill the 2012 contractual obligation to distribute subsidized fuel products. The authority said on August 14 that as of the first semester of this year, the company has yet to distribute its 2012 quota of 34,128 kilo liters of fuel products.
Surya Parna reportedly had failed to purchase the necessary fuel products from PT Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.
