BPHMigas to impose one day ban in the sale of subsidized fuel

The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulator BPHMigas plans to impose a 12-hour suspension in the sale of subsidized fuel products in gasoline stations across Java, and Bali on December 2.

BPH Migas Head Andi Noorsaman Someng told Petromindo.com Thursday that the policy would also be applied in other major cities such as Medan, Batam, Palembang, Balikpapan, and Makasar.

?That?s true, we have such as plan to be implemented on December 2. So it will be one day without subsidized fuel products. This is like a Car Free Day program,? he said.

Under the plan, the gasoline stations in Java, Bali, and other major cities will be forbidden from selling subsidized premium gasoline for 12 hours starting six in the morning until six in the afternoon.
