BPI to expand Banjar Sari power plant capacity

Independent power producer PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovative (PT BPI) stated that it would expand by 300 MW the capacity of its Banjar Sari mine mouth power plant in East Merapi district, Lahat regency, South Sumatera province.
Sri Andini, BPI?s director told Petromindo.com on Tuesday: ?Currently Banjar Sari power plant has a capacity of 2x110 MW and we will expand it by another 300 MW.?
?We have already conducted the feasibility study for the expansion,? she said, adding that the company will propose to PLN hopefully this month the expansion project.
Sri said the transmission infrastructure at the location has already been installed. ?Hence, there will be no problem for transmission system if we add the capacity of the Banjar Sari power plant,? she said.
