BPMIGAS announces projects to be onstream this year

Upstream authority BPMIGAS has announced a number of oil and gas projects that will become onstream this year therefore helping to ramp up the country?s oil and gas production.
Most of the projects will be onstream in the second half of the year such as South Sembakung Gas Plant, South Mahakam and Peciko 7B developed by Total E&P.
South Sembakung Gas Plant is developed by joint operating body (JOB) Pertamina-Medco E&P Simenggaris in Tarakan, East Kalimantan province. The facility will process gas from Simengaris PSC with a volume of 30 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).
As for South Mahakam, Total E&P began the construction at end 2010 with an estimated total cost of US$362 million. The Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) work of the project is being carried out by Nippon Steel Construction Indonesia.
Total is also developing extension of Peciko project facility called Peciko 7B platform in Peciko field, offshore Delta Mahakam, about 2 kilometers to the southeast of Senipah with a water depth of 30 to 50 meters.
