BPMIGAS asks PHE to study LPG extraction at WMO, ONWJ

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS has asked PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), an upstream unit of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) to study possibility to extract LPG from gas produced in West Madura Offshore Block, East Java and Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block in West Java.

BPMIGAS Planning Deputy Chairman Haposan Napitupulu told Petromindo.Com that gas from both blocks are wet enough to be extracted.

He did not give further detail.

PHE President Dwi Martono said that the company will conduct study to see if LPG extraction is commercial.

PHE is the operator of both blocks.(godang)
