The environmental assessment is to be conducted prior to the development of field, as mandated by applicable environment-related regulations.
Jangkrik field is located in Muara Bakau PSC, Kutai basin, offshore East Kalimantan.
Eni, through its Indonesian subsidiary Eni Muara Bakau B.V, is the operator of Muara Bakau PSC with a 55 percent interest, with GDF Suez holding the remaining 45 percent.
In a public announcement on Wednesday, Eni Muara Bakau said it plans to drill one production well, install one unit of floating production unit (FPU), planting submarine facilities (well-head and pipe) as well as building an onshore receiving facility (ORF).
Eni said fluid from the well will be processed at the FPU, while gas which has been processed will be sent via export pipe to the ORF facility.
Gas from ORF will be tied-up to the existing East Kalimantan pipeline network near the Sapi field, while condensate will be sent to Senipah oil terminal. (romel/roffie)
