BPMIGAS guarantees LNG supply availability for PGN?s receiving terminal

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Thursday that it guaranteed that IDX-listed gas distribution firm PGN would get LNG supply for its proposed receiving terminal to be built in North Sumatra.
?BPMIGAS guarantees that PGN will get adequate LNG supply (for its receiving terminal),? Chairman R. Priyono told reporters.
PGN is planning to build a receiving terminal in North Sumatra with capacity to process 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year. PGN CEO Hendi Priyo Santoso on Thursday said it had filed request to BPMIGAS and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to get LNG supply from Tangguh LNG and/or Bontang LNG.
Hendi said if LNG supply is not available from domestic source PGN would try to seek supply from Australia and Papua New Guinea producers.(godang)
