BPMIGAS has yet sanction sale of Belanak crude

Upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS said it had not authorized tender to sell Belanak crude due to mercury content problem.

A BPMIGAS official said on Thursday that specification of Belanak crude has not been stabilized yet, and there?s still a problem with mercury content. ?We are still trying to figure out ways to eliminate mercury content,? the official said.

Another BPMIGAS official Trijana Kartoatmodjo said at current production rate that fluctuates between 17,000 BPD to 50,000 BPD, storage tanker at Belanak FPSO would be full by mid-January 2005. The storage tanker, according to Trijana, has capacity of 1 million barrels.
