BPMIGAS ? KKKS help earthquake victims in Yogyakarta

The oil and gas upstream regulator, BP MIGAS and KKKS (Cooperation Contract) contractors today hand over aid worth US$850,000 to victims of deadly earthquake in Yogyakarta Special Region and surrounding areas. The aid will be distributed by five recommended organizations / bodies.

The five organizations/bodies recommended for distributing the aid are, SATKORLAK DIY ? Yogyakarta US$ 350,000, Indonesian Red Cross US$200,000, Mer ? C US$ 100,000, Duafa Wallet US$ 100,000, Save The Children US$ 100,000.

The aid has been collected from donations given by Cooperation Contract Contractors that have been in operation and those in an exploration stage.

Apart from the aid coordinated by BP MIGAS, several Cooperation Contract Contractors have also given response and emergency aid directly, such as medicine, medical team and the establishment of relief centers.

The presentation of aid is conducted in Yogyaqkarta?s Gubernatorial Office and attended by Chairman of BP MIGAS, Kardaya Warnika and representatives from cooperation contractors. (*)
