BPMIGAS may open tender to select government?s crude seller

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said it would not revoke Pertamina?s license to sell government?s share of crude oil production but may appoint additional seller(s) should the state firm continue to fail to timely offtake government?s crude.

Chairman Raden Priyono said that BPMIGAS might open tender to select additional sellers for government?s take of crude production that could not be sold by Pertamina.

Priyono had earlier accused Pertamina of being incapable of lifting some 11 million barrels of government?s take since the beginning of this year from contractors that are operating throughout the archipelago.

Priyono said the lifting delay was due to weather condition and Pertamina?s inability to supply tanker to transport the crude.(godang)
