BPMIGAS orders Vico to suspend Halliburton works at Sanga Sanga

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS has ordered Vico Indonesia to suspend works of service company Halliburton at Sanga Sanga PSC in East Kalimantan following a fatal incident that killed three Halliburton workers on Saturday.
Spokesperson Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that Halliburton?s works at Vico will be suspended until investigation on the incident is completed. ?This is a lesson for PSC contractors to emphasize the importance of health, safety and environment (HSE) in their operations,? he said.
Elan said that production operations at Sanga Sanga PSC is unaffected by the incident.
Three Halliburton workers died after inhaling gas at oil and gas producer Vico?s liquid receiving storage installation facilities in Muara Jawa, Kutai Kertanegara regency. (godang)
