BPMIGAS praising ENI

Upstream authority BPMIGAS has praised Italian firm Eni Spa for its aggressive exploration program, which the agency says reflects the firm?s seriousness and enthusiasm in doing business in Indonesia.

?The company is very aggressive in its exploration program. It has never waited too long to start drilling. Six months or one year after receiving its contracts, it has started drilling? Haposan Napitupulu, BPMIGAS? Planning Deputy, told Petromindo.com.

According to reports, the firm has discovered huge gas reserve in Muara Bakau block in Kutai, East Kalimantan, and huge oil reserve Bukat PSC in Ambalat waters, also in East Kalimantan. It plans to start drilling at Arguni 1 PSC in Teluk Bintuni and Fakfak regencies in West Papua.
