BPMIGAS seeks new vessel to replace FSO Lentera Bangsa

Upstream authority BPMIGAS is seeking new Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) to replace damaged FSO Lentera Bangsa operated by China National Oil Offshore Company (CNOOC) in offshore West Java.

The FSO?s engine room was damaged by fire incident in September last year.

Spokesperson of BPMIGAS Gde Pradnyana told Petromindo.com that currently the upstream authority is conducting tender to replace the FSO. He noted BPMIGAS and the operator need one year before new FSO is deployed in the Pabelokan field operated by CNOOC in offshore West Java.

"New vessel should be named in next three months. After that, the operator requires about six to seven months to modify the new vessel to meet with its requirements," Gde said.
