Upstream authority BPMIGAS has assembled a special team of experts tasked to review and provide inputs in the areas of project management and production facility maintenance.
The team, formally named Committee for the Project Management and Production Facility Maintenance which has been effective since the introduction of its supporting regulation on February 16, consists of 88 experts from both BPMIGAS and PSC holders although all the experts will be working independently of the companies/institutions they are currently with.
Djumlati, Head of Project Management Division at BPMIGAS, said the main goal of establishing the committee is to help avoid delays and the ballooning of cost in project implementation, as well as to minimize unplanned shutdown in production facilities.
The team, headed by Deputy of Operation at BPMIGAS Rudi Rubiandini, is divided into six sub-committees ie. project management, maintenance management, special engineering, reliability and operability engineering, construction engineering, and contract management.
