Oil and gas upstream regulator BPMIGAS is studying the proposal from PT Medco Energi International and consortium partners for a 20-year extension of the contract on Block A PSC in Nangroe Aceh Darussalam.
?We are studying the proposal for the extension. We received the proposal on March 25,? BPMIGAS? planning deputy Ahmad Luthfi said on Wednesday.
He said in order to get the contract extension, BPMIGAS would ask the consortium to clarify their plan of gas development in three fields, Julu Rayu, Rampung and Alur Siwa, and their plan for other prospects in the block, including their success probability.
The block is operated by Medco with a 41.67 percent interest. Other participants are Japex (16.67 percent) and Premier Oil (41.67 percent). (Godang)
