BPMIGAS to meet with BP CEO

Senior officials of Indonesia?s upstream oil and gas regulator BPMigas is expected to hold a two-day meeting with visiting CEO of energy giant BP Group, Robert Dudley in London.

?The meeting with BP CEO will take place tomorrow and the following day,? said BPMigas spokesman Gde Pradnyana on Thursday to Petromindo.com.

He said that the meeting will among others discuss BP?s investment plans in Indonesia. He declined to provide further details.

During a meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in May, Dudley said that BP plans to invest another US$11 billion at its Tangguh LNG field in Papua. The energy giant has also expressed interest to help develop Indonesia?s geothermal and coal bed methane potential.
