BRAU's sales volume hits 9.7 million tons in May

IDX-listed PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk (BRAU) sold about 9.7 million tons of coal until May 2013, or 42% of the company's full-year target. Average selling price is about $60 per ton and above the company's target as well.

BRAU sets 23 million ton of sales volume target in 2013. PT Berau President Director Eko Santoso Budianto was optimistic about the company's performance in 2013 by considering the realization in first five months of the year.

PT Berau produced 5.3 million ton of coal in first five months of the year or 2.7% increase from the same period of last year.

In the annual shareholders general meeting on Saturday, June 29, 2013, the company overhauled the board of commissioners by accepting Sandiaga S Uno's resignation as commissioner and appointed Nicholas von Schirnding as vice president commissioner and Amir Sambodo as commissioner.
