Indonesian coal producer PT Bhumi Rantau Energi (BRE) booked about 2.1 million tons of coal output in 2012 from its concession in Rantau, Tapin Region of South Kalimantan.

BRE General Manager for Business Operation Dadang Djupri told Petromindo.com that the output was lower than the company's target at 3 million tons due to the decreasing coal prices in 2012.

Currently, the company is exporting its coal mostly to India, followed by China, Thailand and Malaysia.

"The master plan for 2013 is about 5 million tons, but it can be revised," he said.

In the first half year of 2012 the company produced about 1.2 million tons.
