Britain's Group 4 Securities to protect Caltex

Group 4 Securities, a private securities service based in London, will provide security services in PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia in Riau beginning next month, this year, Riau Pos reported on Thursday.
Adietta G. Soedarmo, the Human Resources Support Manager for the Indonesian operation of the British private security service, said in Jakarta on Wednesday that the Group 4 Securities would hire about 943 locals to protect the oil giant's main operation areas such as Minas, Duri and Bekasap.
"All of the security men will be hired from the previous security service," Adietta said after a presentation of the company at the Aryaduta Hotel. He added that the British security service would replace Tripatra, which will soon end its contract with Caltex.
In attendance at the presentation included the security service's general manager Collins Strory, project security manager Keanny and several high-ranking officials from the Riau police.
Adiette said that Group 4 Security's personnel who would support the security service in Caltex would be trained in cooperation with the Riau police.
At present, Group 4 Security provides security services in a number of major companies in Java, Aceh, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, with total staff of about 1,500 people. The company operates in 50 countries including Europe, Middle East, Africa and other Asian countries.(*)
