British envoy to visit KEM?s projects in E. Kalimantan

British ambassador to Indonesia Richard Gozney is scheduled to arrive in East Kalimantan on Monday (today) for a three-day official visit, local daily Kaltim Post reported.
During his stay in the province, Gozney will visit community development projects in West Kutai regency which are financed by gold miner PT Kelian Equatorial Mining (KEM). KEM, operating a gold mine in West Kutai, is controlled by world mining giant Rio Tinto.
The ambassador is also scheduled to observe community development projects in Kutai Kartanegara regency, also in East Kalimantan. (*)
