British investors are planning to increase their investment next year in Indonesia?s oil and gas sector, the Bisnis Indonesia newspaper reported on Thursday quoting British Ambassador to Indonesia Charles Humphrey as saying.

For instance, British energy giant BP PLC had planned to increase its investment for the development of the Tangguh LNG plant in Papua to US$2.5 billion, Humphrey said on Wednesday after meeting Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta.

He did not provide details about investment planned by other British energy firms next year.
