BRMS hopes Amdal of gold project to be completed end May

IDX-listed PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) hopes to be able to complete the required environmental impact assessment (or Amdal) permit at the end of May as the company rushes to acquire all necessary permits to pave way for construction of its gold mining project in Central Sulawesi Province.

?The Amdal of PT Citra Palu Minerals is in progress. The hope is that it could be completed at the end of May,? said BRMS President Director Suseno Kramadibrata on Tuesday to Kontan, referring to the company?s subsidiary which runs the gold mining project.

Suseno said that the company is hoping to complete all the necessary permits this year to pave way for construction process in the hope that the mine can start production in 2019.

As has been previously reported by this portal, BRMS owns 96.67 percent interest in PT Citra Palu Minerals. Citra Palu Minerals has Contract of Work rights to a 138,889 hectare mining concession in Central Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.

Elsewhere, Kontan said that BRMS also has set target for another subsidiary PT Gorontalo Minerals, which operates gold and copper mine in Gorontalo, which has gold resources estimated at 105.4 million tons to also start production in 2019. Meanwhile, another subsidiary PT Dairi Prima Mineral in North Sumatra is expected to start trial production of zinc this year.
