BRMS to submit Sulawesi study results to MEMR next year

The company said in its press release on Wednesday that the feasibility study consisting of metalurgy, geotechnical, and geohydrology, are expected to be submitted for further approval to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) during the first half of next year (2015).
?Once completed, the feasibility study will be submitted to the Government for further approval. This will be another milestone achieved by our team in developing our projects," said Suseno Kramadibrata, the CEO of BRMS.
BRMS owns 96.67 percent interest in PT Citra Palu Minerals. Citra Palu Minerals has Contract of Work rights to a 138,889 hectare mining concession in Central Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.
BRMS' other subsidiary, PT Gorontalo Minerals, has just completed a public consultation on December 18, 2014, as part of an environmental impact analysis (Amdal), which is particularly related to the Sungai Mak mine site.
Such event was held in collaboration with the LAPI ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung) and Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The public consultation was attended by the majority of the stakeholders, including local officials of the provinces, regencies, and villages concerned, community leaders, the media, the NGOs, and the regency parliament members.
The public consultation is the follow up of the Feasibility Study on the Sungai Mak site that was approved by the Government on August 24, 2014.
BRSM currently owns 80 percent stake in PT Gorontalo Minerals (Gorontalo). The remaining 20 percent stake is owned by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM). Gorontalo has Contract of Work rights to a 36,070 hectare mining concession located in the Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo province.
