BSP-Pertamina starts receiving gas from Kondur

BOB BSP-Pertamina Hulu said it has started receiving 7 mmscfd of gas from Kondur Petroleum SA since early May of this year.

Novi Sugianto, Senior Manager of Operation at BOB BSP told Petromindo.com on Friday that the gas will be used to fuel its 36 MW power plant in Riau.

As such, BOB BSP will no longer rely on electricity supply from Chevron for the operation of its gas field.

BOB BSP is the operator of the Coastal Plain Pekanbaru block in Central Sumatra. Kondur, a subsidiary of PT Energi Mega Persada, is the operator of the Malacca Strait block.
