BSP-Pertamina to produce 35,000 bpd of oil this year

Joint venture company PT Bumi Siak Pusako-Pertamina Hulu, the operator of Coastal Plains Pekanbaru block in Riau, expects to produce crude oil of about 35,000 barrels per day (bpd) this year, an increase from about 31,422 bpd in 2004.
Head of corporate planning and service Arudji Phudri told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the company had recently completed the drilling of 13 new oil wells -- four wells in Kasikan area, five wells in Pedada area, three in Zamrut area, and another in Bungsu area.
Arudji said oil production is expected to increase to 33,000 bpd in the second quarter this year from 30,000 bpd in the first quarter.
He added a total of 35 oil wells will be drilled this year. (dino)
