IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (BSSR) said it has recently completed the construction of a new loading conveyor at Lok Buntar, South Kalimantan.
?It was completed at the end of April,? said BSSR Director Eric Rahardja on Friday.
He said that the completion of the second 1,000-ton per hour capacity conveyor, in addition to the first 1,500 tph conveyor, would help accelerate the company?s monthly coal production to around 600,000 tons.
In the January-April period of this year, BSSR produced 2.2 million tons of coal, which represents about 27 percent of full-year target of 8 million tons.
Eric said that average monthly output during the first four months of this year was 550,000 tons.
The company, which produces coal from its two concessions in South and East Kalimantan, exports most of its product to India. Output from the East Kalimantan concession is estimated to reach 7 million tons this year.
