BSSR eyeing 7 million tons of coal sales in 2016

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (BSSR) has set a coal sales volume target of 7 million tons for this year.

Elia Yuanta, Marketing Director of BSSR told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that this target is slightly higher than the realized 2015 sales volume of 6.5 million tons.

Elia said India is still the main market of the company. He, however, stated that most of the company new customers this year are from domestic market. "This year we have several new clients from power plant sector and cement plants," he said, without elaborating the name of the new customers.

BSSR has a total of 2,459.8 hectares of coal concession which is divided into four blocks and the coal is marketed according to the block from which it is mined. The coal produced has calorific value of 3,300 kcal/kg GAR to 4,350 kcal/kg GAR. The concession is located in Loa Janan, East Kalimantan.

Another BSSR coal concession is located in South Kalimantan operated by subsidiary PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM).
