BSSR eyes 25 % increase in coal sales volume in 2017

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (BSSR) stated that it targets to increase coal sales volume in 2017 by 25 percent to 10.3 million tons from 8.3 million tons this year.
Elia Yuanta, Marketing Director of BSSR told Petromindo.com Tuesday that the company is targeting to sell 8.3 million tons from BSSR's coal concession in South Kalimantan operated by subsidiary PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM). Meanwhile from BSSR's concession located in Loa Janan, East Kalimantan, the company is targeting 2 million tons of sales.
Earlier Elia stated that the company is able to book 8.3 million tons of coal sales volume for this year, 27.69 percent higher than last year?s 6.5 million tons. The company was able to sell around 6.8 million tons from AGM and from Loa Janan around 1.5 million tons.
'We increase our coal sales target in 2017 in line with increasing demand from our existing customers," he said, adding that its customers are from China, India and local customers.
BSSR has a total of 2,459.8 hectares of coal concession which is divided into four blocks, and the coal is marketed according to the block from which it is mined. The coal produced has calorific value of 3,300 kcal/kg gar to 4,350 kcal/kg gar.
