The hydro-power plant, located on the border of West Sulawesi and South Sulawesi, is the second hydro-power project developed by the company. The first one is located in Poso regency, Central Sulawesi province.
?As part of the package, we?ll also build a 120-kilometer road to the project location. We?re currently seeking for investors. And at the same time we?re in the process of engineering,? Bukaka Teknik Utama President Director Irsal Kaniarudin said as reported by Kontan.
He expressed the hope that the contract of the project would be signed next year. ?Now, we?re still focusing on finalizing the development of Poso hydro-power plant. But we hope that the construction of Karama hydro-power plant will be started next year,? he said.
Kalla Lines, which is owned by former vice president Jusuf Kalla, started the development of Poso hydro-power plant last year. It consists of three units of power plants, which are all expected to have a generation capacity of 600 MW. (*)
