Bukaka file third warning against PLN

PT Bukaka Teknik Utama (BTU) said on Monday that it would file a third somation or warning through a district court against state electricity company PT PLN over its arbitrary decision to cancel a tender on a $75 million transmission project that Bukaka won.

Bukaka president Achmad Kalla said that the company was awaiting PLN's response to its two earlier warning letters through the court demanding PLN to restore Bukaka's rights as the winner of the tender in the transmission project.

"We give eight days for PLN to answer our somation. If until the end of this week, PLN did not withdraw its letter canceling Bukaka as the winner of the tender, we will file the third somation. But we hope that will not happen. I think everyone agrees that in this era of reforms, we should support efforts to uphold the supremacy of law. The cancellation of our winning in the tender process by PLN directors is surely against the law," Achmad said. (*)
