Bukaka invests in renewables firm

IDX-listed engineering company PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk said on Wednesday it has made equity participation in hydro power plant developer PT Poso Energi.
No further details were provided. As has been previously reported, Poso Energi is among of nine renewable companies set to sign this month power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN over their respective proposed renewable-based power plant projects.
Poso Energy plans to develop a 515 MW peaker hydro power plant (PLTA) in Poso, Central Sulawesi Province. The power plant is targeted to start operation at the end of 2021.
