Bukaka plans 10 mini hydro power plant projects

Independent power producer PT Bukaka Energi plans to develop mini hydro power plant projects scattered in 10 locations within the next two years.
?We?re still in the process of obtaining permits from the local administrations. It takes about 1-2 years to complete all the permits,? said Bukaka Director, Teguh Wicaksana Sari to Petromindo.com on Friday, declining to provide further details.
Teguh said that the company is also planning to acquire companies operating mini hydro power plants, but could not yet provide further details. ?We continue to explore acquisition opportunities. There is possibility to also acquire other renewable technologies, although our current focus is on hydro and mini hydro power plants,? he said.
In 2014, Bukaka Energi acquired four companies operating mini hydro power plants, namely PT Anoa Hydro Power, PT Mapping Hydro Power, PT Usu Hydro Power and PT Sakita Hydro Power. Bukaka now owns 99 percent interest in each of the subsidiaries.
