Bukaka to produce towers for major Sumatra transmission line project

Bukaka Director of Technique Saptiastuti Hapsari said that once the test is completed, the company will immediately start producing the towers massively.
?This is the first of such test in Southeast Asia for 500 KV four-circuit (towers). This is a very important test,? Saptiastuti said to reporters on Monday in Serang, Banten Province, where the testing is conducted.
Bukaka is one of the tower suppliers for the 500 KV transmission line with total length of 470 km linking New Aur Duri in Jambi Province and Perawang in Riau Province. The transmission line project, to be developed by construction firm PT Waskita Karya, comprises of two stages, the first linking New Aur Duri and Peranap worth Rp 3.88 trillion, and the second linking Peranap and Perawang worth Rp 2.83 trillion.
Saptiastuti said that Bukaka will manufacture 1,200 four-circuit transmission towers worth about Rp 1 trillion. (*)
