Bukit Baiduri ramps up 2010 coal production

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Bukit Baiduri Energi (BBE) is planning to significantly ramp up 2010 production to 2.8-3 million tonnes in 2010 to tap growing export market.
GM Djunali D told Petromindo.Com on a sideline of Coaltrans Conference on Monday that the Company produced 2 MT last year.
According to Djunali, BBE?s 2010 output has been fully contracted. The Company sells 90 percent of its coal to export market such as India and China.
BBE will likely supply 300,000 TPA in starting next year to its sister company, a petrochemical firm which is building a 2x15MW power plant in Merak, Banten province.(denny)
