Bukit Baiduri?s 2011 coal output fully contracted

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Bukit Baiduri Energi (BBE) is on track to produce 2.4 million tonnes of coal during 2011, an increase by about 300,000 tonnes from 2.1 million tonnes, last year.

The company?s official told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that all of this year?s output would be used to meet export contracts. ?We even need more coal to fulfill the contracts,? the official said without giving details.

BBE buyers including Indian firm Binani Cement, a subsidiary of Braj Binani Group, has bagged 1-year coal supply deal for 6 supramax vessel. BBE also supplies to Singapore?s SP Resources International Pte. Ltd. (SPRI) for a fixed coal allocation of 500,000 tonnes for year 2011.

The company sells 90 percent of its coal to export market such as India and China. (denny)
