Bukit Makmur signs contract amendment with Berau Coal

IDX-listed PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk announced on Tuesday that its primary operating subsidiary, PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama, has signed a contract amendment with PT Berau Coal.

Although coal market is still relatively weak, Bukit Makmur continues to provide quality service and continuous improvement on operational performance for its customers. As a result, Bukit Makmur is awarded with higher volumes from one of its major customers, Berau, while the contract period for the Binungan site is extended until 2019 from 2018 previously.

The amended contracts are for overburden removal, coal hauling, and equipment rental in the area of Lati and Binungan. The contract volume on average will increase by 26% per annum from Bukit Makmur's current production at Berau. Total contract value is approximately US$1.2 billion for 5 years. The contract details are as follow:
