Coal mining contractor PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA), the main operating subsidiary of PT BUMA Internasional Grup Tbk (IDX: DOID), announced a leadership transition effective 1 January 2026, aimed at strengthening execution and operational management amid ongoing challenges in the mining services sector.
Under the changes, Ronald Sutardja was appointed President Director of BUMA, replacing Indra Kanoena, who stepped down from the role. Prior to the appointment, Ronald served as President Commissioner of BUMA. He previously held the position of President Director from 2014 to 2021.
BUMA said the leadership realignment was made in response to continued operational complexity in the mining services industry, including productivity pressures and weather-related disruptions in Indonesia.
