BUMA produces 16.5 million tonnes of coal in H1

Indonesia-listed firm PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk reported Wednesday that its contractor unit PT Bukti Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) has produced 16.5 million tonnes of coal during the first half of 2011, more or less the same compared to the corresponding period of previous year.

For June 2011 alone, BUMA produced 3.3 million tonnes of coal, 8% higher from June 2010.

Meanwhile, overburden removal during first half of the year, increased 4.6% to 155.5 million bcm. Its June 2011 removal, meanwhile, stood at 28.3 million bcm, an increase of 10.1% year-on-year.

BUMA is the second largest coal contractor in Indonesia. BUMA?s major clients are PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Arutmin Indonesia, PT Berau Coal, PT Kideco Jaya Agung and Gunungbayan Pratama Coal.(denny)
