BUMA records Q1 strong performance

IDX-listed firm PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk reported increased production from its mining contractor subsidiary PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) during the first quarter of 2017.
According to presentation filed with the IDX on Thursday BUMA mined 10.2 million tonnes of coal and removed 83.2 million bcm of overburden in the first quarter of 2017 compared to 7.8 MT and 61.2 million bcm in last year?s corresponding quarter.
Last year, BUMA mined 35.1 million tonnes of coal and removed 299.8 million bcm of overburden.
BUMA?s clients are Adaro Indonesia, Kideco Jaya Agung, Berau Coal, Sungai Danau Jaya, Tadjahan Antang Mineral and Angsana Jaya Energi.
The company also reported that its Q1 2017 EBITDA increased by 81% to US$70 million and operating income increased by 205% to $44 million.
