BUMA signs contract extension with KPC

Mining contractor PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) has signed a contract amendment and extension with coal miner PT Kaltim Prima Coal for its operations at the Bengalon site in East Kalimantan, BUMA?s parent company IDX-listed Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk said on Monday.
The initial contract was signed in 2011 and was scheduled to expire this year, as determined by overburden and coal produced, the firm said in a statement filed with the Indonesian Stock Exchange.
?The contract extension is valid for three years until September 30, 2016. During the contract period, the targeted overburden and coal volumes are 63 million bank cubic meters (bcm) and 5.8 million tons respectively. The contract value is estimated to be approximately US$120 million,? the firm said.
