Bumi announces Rp 714 B equity private placement

PT Bumi ResourceS Tbk (the ?Company?) is pleased to announce that it has been informed by its majority shareholders, Long Haul Holdings Limited and Minarak Labuan Company (the ?Majority Shareholders?), that they have conducted a private placement exercise (the ?Placement?) of 1,800,000,000 shares in the Company (the ?Shares?) representing 9.3% of the total shares outstanding in the Company.
The sole bookrunner and placement agent (the ?Placement Agent?) for this sale was PT BNP Paribas Peregerine and the Shares were placed out to international institutional investors based in Asia, Europe and the U.S. at a price of Rp 397 (three hundred and ninety seven Rupiah) per Share which raised a total of Rp 714.6 billion.
To reflect their full commitment to the Company and the investors, the Majority Shareholders have undertaken to the Placement Agent that they will not make any further placements of their shareholdings in the Company for: a period of at least three months from the date of this Placement.
The Company welcomes this successful placement as it will diversify the shareholding base of the Company among international institutional investors and it also reflects the confidence of investors in the Company and improved conditions of the Indonesian economy. (end of release)
