Bumi gets contract to sell coal at $113/t FOB to Japanese buyers

IDX-listed mining house PT Bumi Resources Tbk. said on Wednesday that its East Kalimantan coal unit PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC)had secured a high price for a coal supply contract with Japanese buyers.
The contract for delivery from April 2010 through March 2011 set the price of the coal supplies at $113/ton FOB, the company said in statement.
The company did not give details about the quantity of coal to be delivered under the contract.
Early this month, Bumi also announced that KPC had signed a thermal coal supply contract with a large Japanese customer at an FOB price of $104/ton, basis 6700 GAD (equivalent to 6322 GAR) for delivery over Japanese fiscal year of April 2010/March 2011.
Bumi is on track to exceed its price guidance of $67/ton FOB for all grades this year, the company said in statement on April 5, 2010. (denny)
